About the artist

Justin Marsh was born in Walnut Creek, California and grew up in the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada Foothills of Northern California. He earned a BFA in Pictorial Art from San Jose State University in 2007 and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Design from the University of California, Davis in 2023.

Justin has worked in gallery and museum settings as an exhibition specialist since 2004. He organized and curated 12 & Taylor, an artist cooperative, alternative exhibition space, between 2006 and 2008. He is a former artist member at Axis Gallery where he both curated and produced new bodies of work for over a decade. He lives and works in Sacramento, California.

As an exhibition specialist, Justin has designed, managed, and implemented the opening of several museums in Northern California. He has completed inaugural exhibition installations for the Crocker Art Museum (2010), the Anderson Collection at Stanford University (2014), and the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at the University of California, Davis (2016).
